Jars of Clay and Audrey Assad perform Mumford and Sons “Sigh No More”
there go those tumblr feels again
When I wander through the desert
And I’m longing for my home
All my dreams have gone astray
When I’m stranded in the valley
And I’m tired and all alone
It seems like I’ve lost my way
I go running to your mountain
Where your mercy sets me free
[chorus]
You are my strong tower
Shelter over me
Beautiful and mighty
Everlasting King
You are my strong tower
Fortress when I’m weak
Your name is true and holy
And Your face is all I seek
In the middle of my darkness
In the midst of all my fear
You’re my refuge and my hope
When the storm of life is raging
And the thunder’s all I hear
You speak softly to my soul

“Church is not an organization you join. It’s a family to which you belong.”
2/3 of God is Go!
—Chris Stefanick
For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice
but rather of power and love and self-control.
So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord,
nor of me, a prisoner for his sake;
but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel
with the strength that comes from God.
—2 Timothy 1:7-8
Had another Catholic lunch at work today! I’m filled with such love for this group, even though we’re all just starting to get to know each other. I love that our faith brings together such a diverse crowd :3 So awesome.
One of the guys spoke so confidently about sharing his faith with coworkers - “Whom shall I fear? If God is with us, really…whom shall I fear?”
I still feel shy about being super open about my Catholic identity at work, but I pray for courage and God’s grace to be able to share the good news unabashedly. What do you want of me, Lord?
Here’s to being messy & foolish.
